My entire family loves to eat velveeta cheese dip. I make it in the crock pot and we will all have it for a snack while watching our direct tv hd receiver. It is perfect for times like a big UFC fight or football game. You just take a can of cream of mushroom soup, velveeta cheese, and rotel dip and mix them together. You cook it in the crock pot and it comes out great. You have to stir it often. This snack is a favorite at our house that I am sure we will continue to eat for a long time. My mom used to make this one when I lived at home and I loved to eat it. I bet that my children will do the same thing with this snack since it is so wonderful. We always eat it with some tortilla chips. You can make it like nachos covering the chips with cheese or use it as a cheese dip. Either way you eat it this snack is amazing and one of the best ones out there.

Mesothelioma is a usually rare form of cancer, almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos. In this disease, cancer cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. The most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and internal chest wall), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), the heart, the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart) or tunica vaginalis (the serous covering of the testis.)

Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or they have been exposed to asbestos dust and fiber in some way. Washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos can also put a person at risk for developing mesothelioma. There is generally no association with smoking.

People who are found to have mesothelioma are most often told that the only treatment is surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. They are also offered a very limited life expectancy.

In addition to these treatments, a mesothelioma patient may go through an occasional pain-relieving process called thoracentesis; this drains fluids that build up in the chest or abdomen.

As with other forms of cancer, your best bet for surviving mesothelioma is early detection. If you have had prolonged exposure to asbestos and you experience shortness of breath, pain in the chest or pain in the abdomen, consult a doctor. If you have been diagnosed, do as much research as you can. Come to your doctor with specific questions and get all the details; bring a notebook to take down the details of your conversation so you can refer back.

It may also help to bring someone with you to help bring up questions and help remember. It’s important to keep the lines of communication with your doctor open.

Anyway, I’ve read about Paul Kraus book and he was just a person who said no to orthodox treatment, and now, some 12 years later he released his book, Surviving Mesothelioma, and Other Cancers to be a guide for people facing a diagnosis of cancer.

“Having worked with people who have Mesothelioma Cancer from time to time over the many years I have been working with natural healing I found the best outcomes came to people whose will to live was the strongest.”

Paul Kraus is just one who held to this belief and now he shares this with you.

One of the best features of Kraus’s book is the format; He chose a format I use in my “Road to Health” series of books. I was pleased to see this format because I have had such positive feedback about it and how easy it is to get right to the information in the books.

A chapter about patient’s rights is included, which I cannot stress enough how important this is in today’s mainstream medical venue.

Reading each page in each chapter is uplifting, as well as providing good information. This is a book for patients and families, but I highly recommend it for all health care providers.

The core of this book, Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers, is that it addresses the four key points for healing: physical, mental emotional and spiritual.

With these, and Kraus’s book as a guide, you have a way to find your healing path.

More information about the book and mesothelioma can be found at: Surviving Mesothelioma.

Funeral life insurance provides you and your loved ones with the security and protection they need, when they need it most. It’s a peace of mind because you can plan ahead so you can help support your loved ones with the funeral costs, uncertainty and expense. What’s good about it is you can also organize every detail, you can choose the funeral insurance plan that best suits your personal and family preferences. If you have any specific ideas in mind you can be confident that your wishes are recorded and delivered at the time of need. Also you can get the funeral insurance at any age because death is always devastating and usually unexpected. What’s worse is, our grieving families are left to cope with the hassle of organizing and paying for a funeral if you don’t have insurance but if you get a cheap funeral insurance it can totally help your family during a very difficult time.Generally a very affordable way of covering your intended funeral plans is getting a real life insurance. Life Insurance policies generally cover people for a lot more than a funeral insurance policy and the levels of funeral cover can be as small as $20,000, up to the value of $5,000,000 worth of cover. Funeral insurance and life insurance differ between life insurance companies, so make sure you do your research.Good Luck and God bless!

It’s that time of year again when I plan a summer vacation – and not just any vacation this year! Since spending a day in San Diego five years ago, I have been longing to go back and spend a week, and that’s what we’re doing this summer.

The trouble was, spending the day in San Diego did not make me an expert. I definitely needed to do some research if I was going to make this happen. So I turned on my computer and used my huges net satellite internet service that I got from some satellite and internet packages to get online to discover everything I could about the city.

There is a lot of great information out there about attractions in San Diego. For all of you who don’t know, there are some really wonderful things to do with your family like going to Sea World or the renowned San Diego Zoo. Historical attractions are also a major draw. Old Town is unforgettable, and a great way to spend a quiet afternoon.

San Diego is a world class city, and the hotels I found offered enough variety to please even the pickiest traveler. And don’t get me started on the food! Five star restaurants are the norm and I can’t wait to sample them.

Planning online was quick and easy. I got all the information I needed and completed all of my bookings immediately!

Guest post written by Rebecca Porter

When something needs fixing around the house, I’ll try to do it myself or call my brother to do it. My husband means well and loves to get his hands dirty with projects. But once he starts something, he finds something else that needs to be fixed before finishing the original repair project and starts work on the new one.

It’s gotten so bad lately that I’ve actually taken to hiding his power tools when he’s not paying attention. So when a stray basketball from our neighbor’s teenage son broke one of the windows to our front room, I told my husband that we were not going to call a professional to fix or replace the window and he wasn’t allowed to mess with it.

He wasn’t happy about that but ended up agreeing with me and we searched for SEARS replace window online. The neighbor offered to pay for it and I actually obliged them since it was their son’s fault.

Now I don’t have to worry about the draft of hot air sucking out all our air conditioning and I have a nice-looking, clean window on the front of our house.

One of my favorite summer hobbies is watching surfing programs on my satellite tv. There are always surfing competitions going on during the summer. Some of my favorite competitions are the Gotcha Pro, Billabong Pro, Hurley US Open, Mountain Dew Pipe Masters, and Mavericks Quicksilver Contest. These surfing competitions always feature the latest surfers making an edgy mark on the world of surfing.

My dream has always been to go surfing one day. As someone growing up in the Midwest, I never had the chance to “hit the waves” at a local beach. Oh, how I wish this could have been my life! Instead, watching surfing competitions is a way for me to live vicariously in the awesome lives of surfers. Watching these surfing programs has actually had a great influence on my life, since I will be moving to Florida next year. It is incredible to see the impact that our favorite television shows can have on our life choices.

Some of my all-time favorite surfers are Kelly Slater, Laird Hamilton, Andy Irons, and Dave Kalama. These guys know how to surf and they take the sport with a very serious attitude. Surfing is not just about a laid back attitude to life. Instead, I have learned that it takes hard work for top surfers to reach their success in this sport. Watching surfing competitions on television has shown me that surfing is all about having a determined attitude.

Senior citizens are now being offered classes at the local community centers around the country in order to learn how to navigate their way around a computer. This is a very good idea because in today’s society everyone needs to learn how to use a computer. The computer will come in handy for senior citizen for a lot more than looking at the variety of hearing aids are available on the market.

A senior citizen can actually use the computer to just keep in contact with their family. E-mail is the greatest thing that was ever invented for senior citizen to use. With e-mail a senior citizen is able to stay in contact with their family. They can just sign onto the Internet and go straight to their e-mail. They will be very excited to receive notes from their grandchildren.

Another good thing about the Internet for senior citizen is that this will allow them to be able to see pictures of family members when they live far away. They can sign onto Facebook and see their loved ones. As a matter of fact having a Facebook account is actually a very good idea because not only will it allow them to speak with their family members from time to time, they will also be able to stay in touch with all of their friends.

They can also use the Internet to order their medicine that they need. Sometimes it is a hassle trying to go out and place an order for your medication. By knowing how to do online, they will just simply have to sign onto the website for the drug store and place the order for their prescription.

Guest blog post from my friend Kara Gatto

There are more opportunities than ever to find cooking programs on television. From the Food Network to PBS to the new Cooking Channel, chefs are turning in their toques and aprons in favor of makeup and the camera. Learning how to cook from television is a great benefit to many people, but one thing that annoys me is the constant focus on quick and easy meals.

I realize that a lot of men and women work and do not have time to cook meals every day, but there’s a large segment of the population who watches these programs that wants to learn how to cook the perfect tomato sauce for five hours instead of five minutes. We want to learn how to make puff pastryfrom scratch and how to create the perfect veal stock over a period of days. These are elementary lessons that every aspiring chef should know how to do, but if we are to believe cooking shows on Directv, boxed and prepared products are the way to go.

With all the preservatives and chemicals that are added to food today in order to improve shelf life, shopping in a supermarket is an experience that is closer to chemistry than to cooking. I’m not saying that packed food is evil or that it’s wrong to buy these conveniences. What I’m saying is that people need to be educated about how to prepare some of these things so that they have an option.

For many foodies, preparing intricate meals and dishes is exciting and a form of entertainment. They relish slaving over the stove for hours to create the perfect stew. At least give them one show that teaches them how to explore cooking techniques beyond the basic level.
